Is anybody not sick of the swine flu? (pun fully intended)
We've heard a lot of hubba balloo about getting vaccinated. Not so much for me but "every pregnant woman should be vaccinated against the swine flue!" We've heard theories that go as far death for both the unborn child and the mother. We've even heard that our Bishop wants to council with any soon-to-be mother's regarding the swine flu vaccination. Getting vaccinated is crucial to your health! We've also heard the opposite: The vaccination hasn't been thoroughly tested yet because the drug companies and the government have been in such a hurry to get it out to the public, as long as you eat healthy and wash your hand frequently you'll be okay, the swine flu is no more dangerous than the normal flu and there has never been this much hype about either (It's just the craze!), etc. Any medically sound advice out there?
They have proven that it is more dangerous for pregnant women who get the swine flu. I am a full supporter of the swine flu shot. I got mine. I say if you can get a hold of one GET IT. My personal opinion on the shot is that it's safe. They make yearly flu vaccinations every year and it's not that much different to make this one, just a different strain.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Breanna, and we are both nurses :) I'm doing clinical hours with my nurse manager and have attended several meetings with her in which they have mentioned the swine flu vaccine. They say pregnant women are number one at risk and it is more serious for them, some have died. I don't think I would take a chance. I have heard from many doctors that it is safe. I got mine two weeks ago and have had no problems. I would get it!
