Edits

My wife edits my magazines before I get them.

I'm glad she does.  She went 5 miles today and challenged me to do the same. I just had some chocolate milk and some fruit snacks.  We'll see.

Enjoying Les Miz

25th Anniversary on PBS.  The 10th Anniversary production was much better due to no Nick Jonas (not biased, he doesn't have the capacity to be Marius), Michael Ball as Marius, Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean, Philip Quast as Javert, and Ruthie Henshall is Fontine. Awesome!

....sprite?

Does sprite really help with an upset stomach?  I don't know, but I wouldn't be drinking one at 7:43 AM if I knew of something else that might help.

Ran 3.22 miles on Monday.  Yesterday I watched BYU go down in flames wishing I had gone running.  Just a little under 2 months until the Thanksgiving Point Half Marathon.

3 Mo Miles!

Gotta get in shape for the half in 2 months.

What picture do I have as my desktop at work?

That's right.  Meb Keflezighi. Google Him.  Pure Motivation.

Let's run.

January Summary

12.6 Miles
1:58:38 Hours
1 Race Paid For (Thanksgiving Point)

3 pounds gained...
(not going into total number of icream & brownie consumption)

Late Night Run

3.22 miles yesterday - 27:32 - 8:35 mile laps.

It was cold.

Edit: It's awkward trying to run and take a picture of yourself. It's even harder with gloves on.

Thanksgiving Point at the height of the Tulip Fest? Yes Please!

Katie and I officially signed up (with no refunds) for the Thanksgiving Point Half Marathon on April 30th.  It's gonna be a wild ride!

Now we have to start running.  Bring it!

Starting up...again.

Ya know what sucks? Starting again.

Two months ago I was in great shape. I was running everyday and was able to run long distances. After the half marathon I ran on halloween, I stopped running. Now, two and a half months later I've started running again and it feels like I never ran at all.
It probably wouldn't suck as much if I hadn't been eating this everyday right before I went to bed:

Disclaimer:  Mine is on the left.  I don't eat two bowls of ice-cream.
Edit:  Katie eats much healthier ice-cream than I do (but mine is much more delicious).
Starting again sucks. I wish I had never stopped, but it feels good to be running again.

3 miles yesterday with Katie.
3.22 solo miles today.

I saw this while I was out running today:

Is that even legal?

Accountant

Just found out today (actually yesterday) that I got a big promotion at work.  I'm gonna be an accountant instead of a payroll clerk.  I'm actually stoked about it; that's what I went to school for.

The raise aint bad either.

2 Years

Celebrated two amazing years with Katie yesterday.  Honestly, these past two years have been the best of my life.  No kidding.  I've had so many life changing experiences and made some of the biggest decisions over these past years - I'm sure God knew that I would need a level head by my side so I wouldn't screw it all up.

Katie - I love you more now than I ever thought possible two years ago!

How's it been in two thousand and ten?

My first daughter was born.
Fell in love with Katie...all over again.
Graduated college with an Accounting degree.
Got a job...a good one.
Got a promotion and became an Accountant.
Ran a Half Marathon.

Not bad for a year.  Let's make 2011 even better!

Begin Again

I'm wearing my Halloween Half Marathon shirt today (I keep my jacket zipped) to remind and motivate me to run again.  It's been exactly two months since my last jog (and race) and with all the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas goodies...well you can see the double chin, right?

New Year's Resolution #1: Run a Marathon

Short Term Goal: Run the Thanksgiving Point Half Marathon on April 30th.

That gives us 4 months.

You in?

Null

No blog entries because of no running as of late.

Begins again this week.
Looking for other races to key in the motivation factor.

Edit: and no camera.  Bummer.
